ANTARES
welcomes KM3NeT under the sea!

On
December 3rd, the first neutrino detection for KM3NeT-Italy
has been successfully installed and operated.
The
ANTARES Collaboration congratulates colleagues and friends
from the KM3NeT Collaboration for this major step forward.
ANTARES is no longer alone in the search for high-energy
neutrinos in the abysses of the Mediterranean Sea! A new
chapter in the story of neutrino astronomy has begun.
The
picture below shows the relative position of the ANTARES and
KM3NeT-Italy sites, approximately 1000km apart.
